The College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Youngstown State University is hosting their annual STEM Awards program. The STEM Awards celebrate past achievements and future potential and are presented to distinguished alumni, educators and community leaders.
Advance registration is required by February 10, 2012.
The third annual ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit will be held at the Gaylord Convention Center. This event is designed to bring together key players from across the energy ecosystem – researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, corporate executives, and government officials – to share ideas for developing and deploying the next generation of clean energy technologies. The Summit's unique combination of leaders makes it the perfect forum for developing energy solutions that will enable America to out-innovate our global competitors.
On March 14, the Cleveland Engineering Society (CES) will host it's 60th Annual Design and Construction Conference with a theme of Connecting Today's Growth to Our Region's Future. This full day conference will feature keynote speakers, panels, and breakout sessions. In addition, there will be an exhibit area and networking reception. Topics include:

The 2012 Public and Land-Grant University Conference on Energy Challenges brings together public university, industry and government leaders from across the country to discuss and promote the role of the university in solving critical questions about energy in the 21st century.
This conference will examine the role of public and land-grant universities in leading the technology, understanding and public education of advanced energy options. Join us for this vital discussion on how we can face our energy challenges and lead our nation into the energy future through discoveries in advanced energy expansion and innovations.

EnergyTech 2012 follows the successful launch of EnergyTech 2011, surveying promising technologies in power and energy to address the growing demand for sustainable energy. This new conference will bring together experts in diverse areas to review and explore technologies that promise significant contributions towards addressing this global challenge.
Topics will include: smart grid, energy storage, wind power, plug-in electric vehicles, co-generation, distributed generation, efficiency and conservation, power electronics, photovoltaics, solar-thermal energy, and other alternative and renewable means of power generation. Submitted papers will be peer reviewed and the conference proceedings will be published on IEEE Xplore. Both research and application papers are invited, with an emphasis on how the technology described can help address the global concern.
