Background:
In May 2010, NorTech received a grant from the Economic Development Administration’s (EDA) Economic Adjustment Assistance Program to fund a series of advanced energy industry cluster roadmaps to accelerate economic growth and job creation in Northeast Ohio's advanced energy industry. Roadmaps will be developed for the Energy Storage, Transportation Electrification, Smart Grid and Biomass/Waste-to-Energy sectors.
In order to develop the roadmaps, NorTech will facilitate regional stakeholders through a process to conceive of and articulate a clear vision and a game plan for each of the four sectors based on the region’s assets, the global market drivers and the competitive landscape. With existing synergies among the targeted sectors, the four Roadmaps will be integrated an action plan for Northeast Ohio to capture economic growth and job opportunities in the advanced energy industry. The roadmaps and action plan will be an extremely valuable tool to set priorities and focus regional resources to grow the region’s advanced energy economy.
On August 16, 2010 NorTech Energy Enterprise released a Request for Proposals (RFP) to engage a consultant to assist in the development of the advanced energy sector roadmaps.
Questions about the RFP should be directed to Ashley Paessun at apaessun@nortech.org or at 216-363-6896.
